We are guided by our principles to which we hold very tenaciously. And you must also know that when it becomes necessary we become very outspoken because we believe that it is only through openness that differences can be amicably settled. It is probably the reason why many Africans always sat they prefer the crudeness of the Dutch to the diplomacy of the British. With a man who does not mince his words when he states his viewpoint you immediately know where you are, but when you deal with a man who uses diplomatic jargon and shields behind euphemisms you can never say you understand his stand.
