The present awakening of the Bantu demands well defined methods to draw attention of those whom we regard as indifferent to our cause. We can not conceive of the reasonableness of the idea some of our fellows often display regarding our relationships with European races. Even if we aspire we must remember the consequences of the gospel we scatter. It is impossible to save the situation by entertaining sensationalism. To antagonise our acceptableness betrays our good cause and this we cannot afford. Our opportunity is with us. It is not in the hands of firebrands who inflame the passions of others raising this folly as the standard for the awakening of the Bantu. Enlightened communities of South Africa will not be awakened in any manner conciliatory unless methods that are based upon the wise guidance of its inhabitants are cherished.
