Dipannita ("Dipa") Basu is an Associate Professor of Sociology  and Black Studies at Pitzer College, a member of The Claremont Colleges.  She received her B.Sc. from the University of London and Ph.D. from Manchester University.  She has been at Pitzer College since 1995.
