REQUIREMENTS FOR PSYCH 10
Everyone
will be expected to complete the following REQUIREMENTS:
- Reading
assignments--if
everyone does all of the reading in
advance, interesting and exciting discussions will follow, I promise
you.
- (15%)--Class
attendance
and participation (see above bullet). This
will constitute 15% of your grade, and it will probably make a big
difference.
- (10%)--Quiz
1 (I'll
give you a small, ungraded pre-quiz
before the first real quiz, so you'll have some
idea of what to expect).
- (15%)--One
midterm
examination (Quiz 2).
- (20%)--Quiz
3.
- (15%)--One
short final paper.
- (25%)--A final
examination.
LATE PAPER POLICY:
Papers are due by 5:00 p.m. on the final day of class (May 5, 2010).
Papers turned in from 5:01 p.m. that day until 5:00 p.m. the next day
will be assigned a grade that is one full letter grade below what the
paper would have received had the paper been turned in on time. Papers
turned in from 5:01 p.m. on that day until 5:00 p.m. the day after that
(i.e., two days late) will be assigned a grade that is two full letter
grades below what the paper would have received had the paper been
turned in on time. And so on. There will be no extensions, and no
further discussion.
PLAGIARISM POLICY: I
will consider any collection of 4 or more consecutive, unquoted words
taken from another source to be plagiarism. Any paper containing any
plagiarized content will be met with an automatic grade of "F" in the
course. If you have any
doubt at all about what constitutes plagiarism, please do not hesitate
to ask me about it.
THE FINAL EXAM IS SCHEDULED TO BE
GIVEN ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT,
12 MAY 2010, AT 7:00 p.m., IN OUR USUAL ROOM
