REQUIREMENTS FOR PSYCH 110
Everyone will be expected to complete the following :
- (10%)--Class attendance and participation.
This will constitute 10% of your grade, and it will
make a difference.
- (30%)--Two short papers, each worth 15% of your grade. The first paper
will focus on experimental methodology, and will involve library research.
The second paper will be based on a study of gender and activity level,
which students will be conducting at the Mary B. Eyre preschool.
- (10%)--Discussion leading. Students will be required to lead class discussions, in pairs, for half of each Tuesday class session.
- (25%)--Term research paper. Students will work in small groups throughout
the semester, to develop an original research project. An individually written
description of this project and an analysis and discussion of the results of
the study undertaken will constitute the major term paper required in this
class.
- (10%)--Outline for term research paper.
- (15%)--Group presentation. Students will present the results
of their research projects in class (in December).
