REQUIREMENTS FOR PSYCH 154
Everyone will be expected to complete the following :
- Reading assignments. Do all of the reading in advance, since this is
the only way to ensure interesting and valuable discussion.
- (10%)--Class attendance and participation (see the preceding requirement).
- (20%)--One midterm examination.
- (20%)--One final examination.
- (10% each)--Two lab write-ups.
- (10%)--Serving as a helpful peer-reviewer.
- (20%)--A research project conducted and written up individually. There will be several smaller assignments throughout the semester (including a graded (10%) proposal) which will help you put the final project together.
LATE PAPER and PLAGIARISM POLICIES:
Papers are due at 5:00 p.m. on the dates noted in the syllabus. Papers turned
in from 5:01 p.m. that day until 5:00 p.m. the day one week later will be
assigned a grade that is one full letter grade below what the paper would have
received had the paper been turned in on time. Papers turned in from 5:01 p.m.
on that day until 5:00 p.m. the day two weeks past the due date will be
assigned a grade that is two full letter grades below what the paper would have
received had the paper been turned in on time. And so on. There will be no
extensions, and no further discussion. Papers containing any plagiarized content will
be met with an automatic "F" in the course; if you have any doubt about what
constitutes plagiarism, please do not hesitate to ask me about it.
