KWU 133 Writing For Research

Welcome to our website! We are a group of students from Kobe Women's University who are studying abroad in California. We are a class that is all about learning and doing new things. In fact, we are part of a new program at our school back in Japan and we are the first group from our school to come to study at Pitzer College. While we are here, we are taking classes, participating in service learning, and experiencing American life in home stay families. We plan to write about our thoughts and experiences through our writing class and post these ideas here on this website. On the left of this page, you can already see some of our ideas for the next few months. As soon as we get those articles ready, you can click on the links to see our progress. Please visit our website often to see what we add and how we grow during our time in beautiful southern California!
As part of our writing course, KWU 133: Communities in Focus, we are working in journalism teams to bring you the latest on intercultural learning and Global=Local issues in Claremont, California. Each team has different personalities and interests. The Meet our Contributors section allows you to find out a little bit more about each of us individually. Follow the links above to see an overview, or click on a student name to learn more.
