The following curriculum development activities are
planned:
Course Development Grants
Interested faculty members
from the Claremont Colleges, including Claremont Graduate University and
Claremont School of Theology, will be encouraged to
participate in developing innovative courses, seminars, independent
studies and experiential courses.
Community Partners for Teaching
Efforts will be invested in building a network of local
practitioners of alternative medicine and experts in cross-cultural
health. Faculty members who are participating in the Program will
invite these individuals as guest speakers for their respective courses.
Based on our previous experience with our courses "Science &
Alternative Medicine" and "Amerindian Psychiatry," we
found that community guest lectures proved to be an excellent didactic
option. |
