Dr.
Rollin McCraty is Director of Research of the HeartMath Research Center
at the Institute of HeartMath, a nonprofit research and educational
organization located in Boulder Creek, California. The Institute’s
research has laid the foundation for the development of positive
emotion-focused interventions, which have been demonstrated to reduce
stress, enhance health and performance, promote emotional stability,
increase spiritual well-being, and improve quality of life.
Dr.
McCraty has served as Principal Investigator for numerous laboratory
research studies examining the effects of positive emotions, such as
love, appreciation, care and compassion, heart-brain interactions and autonomic, cardiovascular, hormonal and immune system function.
